When we answer God's call and go forward, He is happy. Our relationship with the Lord is centered around this truth. The beginning of anything new, be it a project, a relationship, or a new phase of life, can be both exhilarating and intimidating. The good news is that the Lord truly loves our beginnings, regardless of how modest or uncertain they may appear. They are not. They have been planted in your soul for you to fulfill.

The Power of Starting

We often hesitate to start because we are afraid or insecure. We may find ourselves begging God to give us greater assurance, more resources, or more clarity. However, the truth is that God has already given us all we need to get started. You are a novice traveling in faith, not a beggar asking for a cause. The Bible warns us not to scorn "the day of minor things" in Zechariah 4:10. God is not limited by our lowly beginnings. He is happy when we have faith enough in Him to take that first step because He understands that every great work begins with one. We please God when we find our way into His plan.

Walking in Obedience

Obedience to God’s call is a powerful act of faith. It’s not about having everything figured out; it’s about trusting that God will guide us as we move forward. The journey might be slow, and progress might seem small, but every step taken in faith is a victory in God’s eyes.

Remember, God is not looking for perfection—He’s looking for a willing heart. He rejoices in our willingness to start, knowing that He will perfect the work He has begun in us (Philippians 1:6). When you step out in obedience, you demonstrate trust in God’s timing and provision.

Courage for the Journey

It can be intimidating to start something new, but you are not the only one. God assures you that He will accompany you on every journey. "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you," promises Deuteronomy 31:8. We can bravely and confidently go on the road with this pledge. Therefore, know this: God loves your obedience, whether you are establishing a new company, a ministry, or just taking a baby step toward a desire He has set in your heart. Though you are not a beggar, you are a beginner. God is with you and encouraging you as you walk in trust.

Embrace the Beginning

Don’t let fear or doubt hold you back. Instead, embrace the journey with joy and courage, knowing that your small beginning is precious in God’s sight. Trust that He will provide, guide, and bless every step you take.

As you move forward, remember that each step is an act of worship, a testimony to your trust in God. Celebrate your progress, no matter how small, and keep your eyes on the One who called you. God is delighted in your faith, and He will be faithful to complete the good work He has started in you.
